Package: usbmount

Severity: important

My usbdrive is recognised by udev when plugged in:

Nov 7 01:01:49 localhost kernel: usb 3-2: new full speed USB device
using ohci_hcd and address 5
Nov 7 01:01:49 localhost kernel: scsi2 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass

I can manually mount the drive using this /etc/fstab entry:

/dev/sda1 /mnt/usbdrive vfat
defaults,uid=65534,gid=65534,umask=000,iocharset=utf8   0       0

(all on one line), but haven't had successful automounts.

/etc/usbmount/usbmount.conf is:

MOUNTPOINTS="/media/usb0 /media/usb1 /media/usb2 /media/usb3
             /media/usb4 /media/usb5 /media/usb6 /media/usb7"

FILESYSTEMS="ext2 ext3 vfat"

MOUNTOPTIONS="noexec,nodev,noatime,iocharset=utf8,user=amarsh04"
FS_MOUNTOPTIONS=""

VERBOSE="no"

I could not find anything in /etc/udev that appeared to tell udev to
recognise usbdrives.

Are there one or more files needed in /etc/udev to identify usbdrives?

Regards,

Arthur.
