Package: gvfs Version: 1.16.3-1+b2 Severity: normal Tags: upstream Hi,
With gnome 3.8/sid and the reported gvfs version, connections to my work domain's SMB servers that used to work do no more. The URLs that fail are as follows > $ gvfs-mount 'smb://CAMPUS;sjd33@campus/software/compsci' > Password required for share software on campus > Password: > Error mounting location: Failed to mount Windows share: No such file or > directory The issue is that my user does not have permission to read the contents of //campus/software, so compci is not enumerated. However it exists and I have permission to access it. (I'm sure I remember this happening with an earlier version of gvfs, but it was resolved for wheezy's. I'll confirm this next time I'm at work by rebooting or chrooting to my wheezy /) If I mount the parent directory (which succeeds), 'software' is empty and attempts to append 'compsci' in nautilus get the following > Unable to find the requested file. Please check the spelling and try again. > Unhandled error message: No such file or directory -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.11-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages gvfs depends on: ii gvfs-common 1.16.3-1 ii gvfs-daemons 1.16.3-1+b2 ii gvfs-libs 1.16.3-1+b2 ii libc6 2.17-93 ii libglib2.0-0 2.36.4-1 ii libudev1 204-5 gvfs recommends no packages.
