Package: moreutils
Version: 0.50
Severity: wishlist
File: /usr/bin/vidir

I often use vidir instead of mc or the like to reorganise
hierarchies of files. It's very useful to be able to edit filenames,
but also move files around (mv(1) does it both…).

What I am missing now is he ability to create target directories,
e.g. if a file 'foo' is "renamed" to 'bar/baz/foo', then vidir
should create 'bar/baz' before moving 'foo'. I suppose this could be
enabled with a command-line option.
