Package: nut-server
Version: 2.6.4-2.3
Followup-For: Bug #721600

Dear Maintainer,

Just made an install of Debian 7.2 from scratch and still had this problem.
The usb device has incorrect permissions, so I had to fix it manually.
I'm not sure if /etc/udev/rules.d/52_nut-usbups.rules should be there or not
(it was NOT present in my system), but the fact is that usb device has
 incorrect permissions after install.
