To tell you the truth: I don't know. For the discussions I have read so far, 
it's not a very clear thing. So far KDE does not sets it, but it could start 
doing it at any point.

If you can workaround it like this, the better.

Same for me. We (the Qt/KDE team) have been trying to personally reach 
qtchooser's uptream to talk about this issue face to face, but so far it has 
not been possible.
