Hi Thomas, of course this problem only exist if the NFS Server is different to the DHCP server - otherwise the IP would be the same and no one will realize that bug ;-)
I tracked it down a while ago but unfortunately haven't documented the results - primarily because I haven't found the main problem, only the direction from where it came. If I remember correctly the initrd scripts had a problem to identify the correct nfs-server address from the dhcp-answer (perhaps because it was missing?) and do a fallback to the dhcp-server ip. But I'm not really sure about that. I don't know if I'll have the time to track it down again in the next days or weeks but it's also not hard to reproduce the problem... I wonder what the real problem is. Is is a dracut problem, or should fai-chboot be changed? Any ideas? It would be nice if you could describe your problem in more detail and not only link to some longer discussion on a mailing list. -- regards Thomas -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
