This is reproducible. I tried to reproduce this here with lynx-cur inside gnome-terminal but wasn't successful. I got the prompt, looked at the diff (with less), scolled up and down a couple of times - all worked fine. I also tried a couple of times going back and forth between "diff" and overview but could not trigger the issue.
