Package: mutt
Version: 1.5.9-2
Severity: important
mutt -F /dev/null
:set from="blahblah"
Create a new mail and examine the From: header in the compose menu.
It's empty instead of "blahblah". I tested mutt_1.5.11-2_amd64.deb
from unstable, same problem. I tested on Gentoo and found that this
problem doesn't exist there.
The problem can't be worked around with my_hdr because that overrides
reverse_name, which isn't desirable. In other words, the From: line
is normally set using this priority:
1. my_hdr (for example in a send-hook)
2. reverse_name (for replies only)
3. fallback to "from" setting
In Debian, #3 is broken.
