Package: network-manager-gnome Version: 0.9.8.4-1 Severity: normal I'm using network-manager-gnome in XFCE, and libpam-systemd was not installed. When using the "Create new WIFI network" on the Network Manager systray applet, I got the following error message popup:
Failed to add/activate connection (32) No session found for uid 1000 (unknown) After reading http://qubes-os.org/trac/ticket/626 I decided to install libpam-systemd, and then it worked. So perhaps network-manager-gnome should recommend or suggest libpam-systemd? I don't think it should be a depends, since I'd imagine that only a small fraction of users will try to create a WIFI hotspot.
