I'm sorry for the long delay, I'm definitely not very responsive as a
maintainer for quilt.

It seems however that your problem is the same than described here:
http://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?21114

I recently fixed that bug upstream before releasing the 0.61 version.
Could you please check whether it fixes your problem too?
