We have updates of all essential packages in each upgrade ... if any of the essential packages fails, the test of the package to be tested will fail. And essential failures will probably be noticed by someone and filed ... Or should we drop tes special case essential-required and run them for all the packages? That would be around 60 identical tests that would either all pass or all fail, but yes, that's an early indicator that something is amiss.
