Thanks, Ben, for the very quick response!

I'd love to do that.  But I don't have a serial console for this machine (no 
serial port -- it's a PowerMac "MacPro" G5, 64-bit CPU) and the messages logged 
at crash time scroll off the screen too fast for me to copy them down (or even 
photograph).

I'll make a photograph of the last screen's worth of messages and send that to 
the bug, if you think that will help.

Do you know of any way to get more information than that?  I'd really like to 
help get this bug fixed (I've got plans for this machine but I can't go forward 
with them until I can reboot it reliably)

Does it help any that the G4 (32-bit CPU) sitting right beside it, running an 
identical software setup, reboots just fine?
