I'm sorry, but I'm not convinced, for the same reasons I gave in my previous email. Let me expand on this. I'm pretty sure the "If everything matches up, you should chose <b>I have</b> in the menu below." string won't be translated when running in pt_BR with the current Debian unstable pidgin-otr package + the proposed PO file, since the proposed translation applies to an English string that has changed since then in upstream Git (in commit 225c864 that I referenced previously). See what I mean? Perhaps the translation you want to see included in Debian unstable is the one at commit 453fb8f instead, I don't know. This kind of careful checking needs to be done before we can integrate updated translations into the Debian package. I realize it is tedious work, and it's tedious too for the package maintainer who has to verify a little bit that the proposed translation update actually matches the strings present in the source code. Ideally, upstream would release a new minor version with the fixed English string, and various translation updates as applicable: IMHO it's none of the distros responsibility to go hunt down PO files in upstream Git history, especially when strings change in the meantime.
