Package: apt-listchanges
Version: 2.85.13
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

when performing an apt-get -u dist-upgrade with apt-listchanges
installed, i receive an error from a call to dpkg-architecture.

> sh: 1: gcc: not found
> dpkg-architecture: warning: couldn't determine gcc system type,
> falling back to default (native compilation)

GCC is not installed on this system as it is not required.

Reading the recent bug reports, this might be related to bug #710745.

However, I am currently not able to check the sources via
http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=collab-maint/apt-listchanges.git;a=summary .

Maybe it would be sufficient to silence dpkg-architecture .

If this report is better directed against dpkg-dev,
feel free to re-assign.

Cheers,
Raoul
