Package: plucker
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

It seems to me that plucker embedds a copy of timeoutsocket.py, which seems to
be potentially duplicated in other packages.

This isn't optimal to Debian standards.

One solution would be to instead depend on a system package providing
timeoutsocket (an RFP exists at #736935).

But as timeoutsocket seems to be no longer needed in recent versions of Python
(see the discussion at [0]), it may as well be removed from the installed
files, making sure that the necessary patch is applied to upstream code.

Thanks in advance if you can address this.

Best regards,
