Thanks for asking, but I think not. [1] Our voting system (Condorcet with "Schwartz Cloneproof Sequential Dropping") is designed to cope with that. In actual practice I'm expecting to have a single Condorcet winner in which case splitting/joining options is totally irrelevant. Ian.
