Dear Hideki, sorry for not making myself clear.

What I meant to say is: Please do not add font files to the src:fonts-android source package that are not part of the Android GIT checkout (anymore). It is currently not reproducible how our Debian source package was composed and that already led to confusion in #733077. I believe, on the other hand, that it is safe to install font files into the fonts-droid binary package that are already part of the source package and thus still part of the Android GIT checkout. However, some (not all) of the fonts you mentioned in your original report (namely DroidSansDevanagari-Regular.ttf, DroidSansTamil-Bold.ttf, DroidSansTamil-Regular.ttf, DroidSansThai.ttf) have been removed from the Android sources on purpose and were added to the Noto font family instead. Please don't add them back! I just realize that the link to the corresponding commit in my first comment was wrong, the right one is: https://android.googlesource.com/platform/frameworks/base/+/531dfc45735eb0f1c5a452747b9261a0a6d2f182 So, sorry for all the confusion.
