I've commited the move of commandtops; if we want cups-core-drivers to be able to print to postscript printers, it needs to have commandtops. Hmm, indeed. The split was incomplete; I think we should at least move the removal of /etc/cups/{ppd,interfaces} to cups-core-drivers to make it more the "minimal cups", where cups would stay the "full cups". There are other things that need discussing with regards to the split: * I think it needs to be clearer from the description what cups-core- drivers is meant to achieve: Yves-Alexis (IMHO rightfully) expected that cups-core-drivers would allow to add, configure and remove printers that can be driven by the core drivers. It doesn't work for him; so either more help needs to be brought to users through the description, README.Debian, or the package should be made to achieve that. * The web-interface doesn't work past the welcome page when only cups- core-drivers (the problem is identical with only cups-daemon) is installed, and should therefore either be disabled entirely unless cups is installed, or be at least working to add and remove printers.
