Alright, I used the default configuration file from below debian repository. http://ftp.jp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/v/vsftpd/vsftpd_2.3.5.orig.tar.gz
and replaced existing vsftpd config file. suren@surendhar:~$ ftp localhost ftp: connect to address ::1: Connection refused Trying 127.0.0.1... Connected to localhost. 421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection ftp> Can this bug be reopened please?
