Package: browser-plugin-spice Version: 2.8.90-1 Severity: important SPICE plugin attempts to execute "/usr/libexec/spice-xpi-client" upon connection to the server. However, it doesn't exist, but "/usr/bin/spice-xpi-client" exists instead (provided by virt-viewer package).
As a result the plugin falls back to executing "/usr/bin/spicec --controller". However, that was seen to fail to connect to a RHEV-M VM with SSL errors. The whole Iceweasel output for the above seems to be this: ---:<--- (plugin-container:8966): SpiceXPI-WARNING **: main client cmdline: /usr/libexec/spice-xpi-client (plugin-container:8966): SpiceXPI-CRITICAL **: controller connect: No such file or directory (plugin-container:8966): SpiceXPI-WARNING **: failed to start /usr/libexec/spice-xpi-client: Failed to execute child process "/usr/libexec/spice-xpi-client" (No such file or directory) (plugin-container:8966): SpiceXPI-WARNING **: fallback client cmdline: /usr/bin/spicec --controller SpiceXPI-Message: failed to run preferred client, running fallback client instead (plugin-container:8966): SpiceXPI-CRITICAL **: controller connect: No such file or directory (plugin-container:8966): SpiceXPI-WARNING **: failed to create pipe Error: Ignoring an unknown/SEND_CAD controller message 19 Error: Ignoring an unknown/SEND_CAD controller message 15 Error: Ignoring an unknown/SEND_CAD controller message 23 Error: Ignoring an unknown/SEND_CAD controller message 24 Controller: bad channel name "usbredir" in secure-channels Error: SSL_CTX_load_verify_locations failed CA_file=/tmp/trustore.pem-YEHHBX 139638837724416:error:0B084009:x509 certificate routines:X509_load_cert_crl_file:PEM lib:by_file.c:280: Warning: SSL Error: error:0B084009:x509 certificate routines:X509_load_cert_crl_file:PEM lib Error: failed to connect w/SSL, ssl_error error:00000005:lib(0):func(0):DH lib Warning: abort Warning: SSL Error: error:00000000:lib(0):func(0):reason(0) Error: failed to connect w/SSL, ssl_error error:00000005:lib(0):func(0):DH lib Warning: SSL Error: error:00000000:lib(0):func(0):reason(0) Error: failed to connect w/SSL, ssl_error error:00000005:lib(0):func(0):DH lib Warning: SSL Error: error:00000000:lib(0):func(0):reason(0) Error: failed to connect w/SSL, ssl_error error:00000005:lib(0):func(0):DH lib Warning: SSL Error: error:00000000:lib(0):func(0):reason(0) SpiceXPI-Message: Client with pid 0x28d2 exited (plugin-container:8966): SpiceXPI-CRITICAL **: could not get browser window, when trying to call OnDisconnected --->:--- After creating a symlink from "/usr/bin/spice-xpi-client" to "/usr/libexec/spice-xpi-client" the RHEV-M connection seems to work and the Iceweasel output for a session becomes this: ---:<--- (plugin-container:8966): SpiceXPI-WARNING **: main client cmdline: /usr/libexec/spice-xpi-client (plugin-container:8966): SpiceXPI-CRITICAL **: controller connect: No such file or directory (plugin-container:8966): SpiceXPI-WARNING **: failed to create pipe SpiceXPI-Message: Client with pid 0x3486 exited (plugin-container:8966): SpiceXPI-CRITICAL **: could not get browser window, when trying to call OnDisconnected --->:--- -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (700, 'testing'), (600, 'unstable'), (550, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.12-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages browser-plugin-spice depends on: ii libc6 2.17-97 ii libgcc1 1:4.8.2-15 ii libglib2.0-0 2.36.4-1 ii libstdc++6 4.8.2-15 ii spice-client 0.12.4-0nocelt2 browser-plugin-spice recommends no packages. browser-plugin-spice suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
