Package: autofs Version: 5.0.7-3 Severity: normal Hi!
Problem description: autofs is configured to read an auto.home map from NIS. The NIS-server was down when the client booted. Then the NIS-server was restored. => automount fails to mount everything from auto.home, forever. It seems to cache the negative NIS-lookup forever. Restart of autofs solved the problem. This problem is similar to bug #597304 and bug #710490 . / Anders -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.4 APT prefers stable APT policy: (990, 'stable'), (500, 'stable-updates'), (300, 'proposed-updates'), (90, 'testing'), (70, 'testing-proposed-updates'), (60, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to sv_SE.UTF8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages autofs depends on: ii libc6 2.13-38+deb7u1 ii libxml2 2.8.0+dfsg1-7+nmu2 ii multiarch-support 2.13-38+deb7u1 ii ucf 3.0025+nmu3 Versions of packages autofs recommends: ii kmod 9-3 ii module-init-tools 9-3 ii nfs-common 1:1.2.6-4 autofs suggests no packages. -- debconf information: * autofs/upgrade-from-broken-version: -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
