Finally version 1.0 for lxc was released[1]. Upstream has announced to support this release for the coming 5 years as a stable branch, backporting bugfixes and in particular also security fixes to this branch from the master branch. It would be great to have soon a version which could enter jessie, and later on having jessie released with a package based on that branch.
