as a workaround one can define another audio encoder, for example -E ffaac
instead of default faac:

  HandBrakeCLI --preset "High Profile" -E ffaac -i 00033.MTS -o
converted/00033_h.mkv

Is it possible to override the default audio encoder for HandBrakeCli ?
