when clicking on an mailto: URL with the XFCE desktop, the URL is not handled correct. The "mailto:"; remains in front of the URL when Icedove as the email programm is opened by clicking on an mailto-URL in Chromium. Can you please fix it as shown in https://debianforum.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=147810 E.g. replace exo-open with gvfs-open for xfce_open in /usr/bin/xdg-email. That worked for me.
