I tried to reproduce the crash, but failed. Wings3d works for me (on intel card). I run it both with and without DRI (with and without libgl1-mesa-dri installed). No crash for me. How did you compile the 1.5.2 from the upstream sources? Could you build it again and show me the build logs?
