I had almost forgot about this.

I did not think about my config file then. Silly on my part.

So, I started chopping off my .muttrc  and I was left with one single
line. :)

color   index           red             black   '~B "Content-Disposition: 
attachment"'  #presenti allegati

So, one could say "OK, your config fault." Well, I found another tricky side of
the prob; if I try the command you suggested:

mutt -f mutt_killing_message_from_DebianBTS -F/dev/null

indeed I can open the message, but if I try to see its headers with "h",
here it is a segmentation fault again.

In the meantime my version of mutt is 1.15.21 since I am still using
Debian testing.

Right now I would not know where to start but I am willing to learn and
try if you still can not reproduce the bug with these new info.
