Package: ipsec-tools
Version: 0.3.3-5
Followup-For: Bug #276970

I would also very much appreciate this easy-to-add feature.

It could be quite simple to inclue a commented out /etc/ipsec.conf file, and
have it run via setkey -f from an init.d script.

The other option is to forward this to the racoon debian package maintainer
since it depends on this pacakage, and include that option with the
pre-existing init script, but it makes much more sense to put a quick on in
as a part of this package.

In a situation where many laptops are connecting to a wireless network via a
vpn, this would cut down on much configuration, and save time/complexity,
with no noticable downside.

Additionally, it would be trivial to develop - I would be interested in
spending the 30 minutes to make the init script and the sample commented out
ipsec.conf file if the barrier to implementing this has been not wanting to
take the time. It seems best to cut down on the configuration required of
every client - this would do so significantly.

Thanks
