Package: dhcp-client
Version: 2.0pl5-19.1
Severity: wishlist

Hi,
i'm usign dhcp-client on my laptop through

iface eth0 inet dhcp

It works usually fine. My main concern is that when i arrive at a new place
i plug-in the ethernet cable and i have to wait the next retry to get eth0
configured. With the default retry 5m, i had to manually restart networking
so i can use the network without waiting. I've set retry to 1m so i have to wait
less. I'd like dhclient to shortcuts its wait time so that whenever i plug
an ethernet cable, eth0 is configured immediatly.

Thanks.
