I don't have numlockx installed anymore, but the problem now seems to be the combination of my keyboard (with hardware forcing numlock on) and some other, more basic, package. This time around, I also don't have an enabled numlock in another tty (Ctrl+Alt+F2 for example). Perhaps this bug can be closed now. The problem I could solve by getting rid of numlockx does not seem to be the same as the one I have now. This one doesn't seem related to Gnome. Best regards, Steven
