Hi,

I had noticed there were already (new) problems with this,
leading to a race that is occasionally lost at boot time
and the device not being reclaimed from the usbhid driver.
To make matters more complicated, I believe the module code
that does the reclaiming no longer works with kernel 2.6.13+,
though I'm not sure if GregKH (or anyone else) has
implemented equivalent functionality in the driver core yet.
I believe he was aiming to, but I've been too busy with other
projects in user and meat space to come up to speed on how
far he has got with that so far -- so its been on the
back-burner (along with similar code in the wacom module)
while I wait for him to settle on a solution that he is
happy with.

I'll try to make some time to look into that again soon
(but if anyone has relevant pointers, I'd be grateful for
any advance clue on how this is evolving).

cheers,
Ron
