based on your input I remember an additional "small" change :(

I moved from Gnome to KDE and this was the first time I used LO 
in that combination.

Test1: use gnome as a w/a showed all OK! :)

I will test the two options you suggested

a) get rid of libreoffice-kde
b) update to LO 4.2 or newer

I will provide feedback within the next days.

This way polling the QClipboard using the event loop won't crash
LibreOffice with recursive paint events

I saw messages on recursive paint events on CLI while it crashed.
