Hi Ole, Why does the package Conflict and Replace cpl-plugin-xsh? None of the files are the same (so at least the Replace is wrong). Conflicts is a very strong type of dependency, that should be avoided if at all possible, for instance using Breaks instead. So the questions are: - are there any files in common in the two packages? - what happens when the two packages are installed together? + are the two packages still usable somehow? + is one package simply shadowed by the other? + is cpl completely broken in that case? Depending on the answers to those questions, I would think you could: - remove the Replaces line; - replace Conflicts with Breaks or remove it altogether; - keep Provides if the new package really provides the same API; - optional: build cpl-plugin-xsh* as meta-packages that will pull their cpl-plugin-xshoo counterpart. Kind regards, Thibaut.
