Package: speech-dispatcher Version: 0.8-6 Severity: wishlist File: /etc/init.d/speech-dispatcher
Rather than shipping a disabled-by-default init script, please consider splitting the system-wide speech-dispatcher configuration into a separate package, or moving the init script to an example file in /usr/share/doc/speech-dispatcher, or dropping it entirely. README.Debian already recommends against running speech-dispatcher system-wide. Doing so on a per-user basis makes much more sense, and even small embedded systems that might want to run it system-wide (much like pulseaudio) could easily enough run it as part of a single-user "session" instead. - Josh Triplett -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.14-trunk-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages speech-dispatcher depends on: ii adduser 3.113+nmu3 ii libc6 2.18-4 ii libdotconf0 1.3-0.2 ii libespeak1 1.47.11-1 ii libflite1 1.4-release-8 ii libglib2.0-0 2.40.0-2 ii libltdl7 2.4.2-1.7 ii libspeechd2 0.8-6 ii lsb-base 4.1+Debian12 ii speech-dispatcher-audio-plugins 0.8-6 Versions of packages speech-dispatcher recommends: ii pulseaudio 5.0-2 Versions of packages speech-dispatcher suggests: pn libttspico-utils <none> pn speech-dispatcher-doc-cs <none> pn speech-dispatcher-festival <none> -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
