I'm not completely sure, but I suspect this might be the same problem
that bit me:

Unfortunately it appears that the developers are not working on that.
I'm trying to understand something of QEMU, but it's a pretty
complicated thing and I'm just beginning. So I cannot guarantee a fix in
short time. :-(
