Package: nautilus-share Version: 0.7.3-1+b1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
I'm using Debian Jessie for a desktop computer i installed nautilus-share for easy sharing in a home network, the functionallity of passwordless shares in the package seems to be broken due to samba 4. I copied the smb.conf supplied with the debian package in /usr/share/doc/nautilus-share/examples/smb.conf and didn't work either. Trying to log into the samba share in nautilus gives a "permission denied" in dolphin asks for a password but it doesnt exist. I tried testparm -s to see if the configuration was good and found : WARNING: Ignoring invalid value 'share' for parameter 'security'. After investigating it seems that security= share is deprecated in samba 4. Some threads suggest substituting these line with security = user map to guest = Bad User I'm not really sure if this works This is also affecting kde-network-filesharing when trying to setup a passwordless share. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.13-1-amd64 (SMP w/6 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=es_MX.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_MX.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages nautilus-share depends on: ii gnome-session-bin 3.8.4-3 ii libc6 2.18-4 ii libglib2.0-0 2.40.0-2 ii libgtk-3-0 3.12.0-4 ii libnautilus-extension1a 3.8.2-2 ii nautilus 3.8.2-2 ii samba-common 2:4.1.7+dfsg-2 ii samba-common-bin 2:4.1.7+dfsg-2 nautilus-share recommends no packages.
