Package: cdebconf-gtk-udeb
Severity: Normal

As "execute a shell", neither "configure base sytem" works using the GTK frontend; so far i've explored two solutions for "Execute a shell" broken menu item

1) developing a shell-gtk udeb that contains a gtk app that opens a
shell in a new window and that can be hidden/close when you click a
button or type "exit".
This can be done using the VTE terminal widget (also ZVT terminal widget exists but is GTK 1.x based), but VTE requires GTK >=2.2 while we're still on GTKDFB 2.0.9. I've created some test apps that work correctly with GTKX 2.4.x / 2.6.x / 2.8.x but do crashe with GTKDFB 2.8.3 (i've heard that VTE works only with GTKX but i'm not so sure about this).

2) Creating a new NOTE question that is displayed to the user when he
clicks on "Execute a shell".
This note should tell the user something like "Press ctrl+alt+f2 to reach a shell and then press ctrl+alt+f6 to come back to the installer"

I think option 2 could be the best choiche to temporarily and quickly
fix the broken "execute a shell".
