Today I installed slapd in lenny, added samba.schema (from
/usr/share/doc/samba-doc/examples/LDAP/samba.schema.gz) and some
entries using it, and upgraded it to squeeze (2.4.23-7.2 because of
bug #705109). That upgrade succeeded and the samba schema and entries
are still there. So if you have time in future to try this again, more
information is still needed.

Do you remember whether your samba.schema was from samba-doc, or was
installed from another package (gosa, debian-edu-config, ??), or came
from somewhere else?

It's fine. I understand you. :)

thanks,
Ryan
