Package: mate-terminal Version: 1.8.0+dfsg1-2 Severity: normal Steps to reproduce:
* Open mate-terminal. * Open several tabs. * Click on another tab. * Notice that that tab is now active. * Notice that the cursor in that terminal blinks. * Click the tab name again. * Notice that the cursor becomes outlined. * Try to type some text. * Notice that no input is received. I expect that clicking on the tab name a second time does not cause the terminal to lose keyboard focus. There is never a time when I am interested in the terminal tab label having focus. However, it is fairly common that I might click on a tab for a second time and then start typing, not realizing that what I'm typing is not being input into the shell. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.14-trunk-rt-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages mate-terminal depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 2.12.0-1 ii libc6 2.18-5 ii libcairo2 1.12.16-2 ii libdconf1 0.20.0-2 ii libfontconfig1 2.11.0-5 ii libfreetype6 2.5.2-1 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.30.7-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.40.0-3 ii libgtk2.0-0 2.24.23-1 ii libice6 2:1.0.8-2 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.36.3-1 ii libpangocairo-1.0-0 1.36.3-1 ii libpangoft2-1.0-0 1.36.3-1 ii libsm6 2:1.2.1-2 ii libvte9 1:0.28.2-5 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.2-1 ii libxext6 2:1.3.2-1 ii mate-terminal-common 1.8.0+dfsg1-2 pn python:any <none> mate-terminal recommends no packages. mate-terminal suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- brian m. carlson / brian with sandals: Houston, Texas, US +1 832 623 2791 | http://www.crustytoothpaste.net/~bmc | My opinion only OpenPGP: RSA v4 4096b: 88AC E9B2 9196 305B A994 7552 F1BA 225C 0223 B187
