Package: cron Followup-For: Bug #707074 Hi,
I quickly looked a this bug and actually, as crontab executable is not setuid root, we'll have to grant it the audit write capability[0] in the postinst script. Please not that the capabilities are not available on all the achitectures and supported by all the filesystem, so it should be wrapped around some other code. Cheers, Laurent Bigonville [0] setcap CAP_AUDIT_WRITE=ep /usr/bin/crontab -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.14-1-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_BE.utf8, LC_CTYPE=fr_BE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages cron depends on: ii adduser 3.113+nmu3 ii debianutils 4.4 ii dpkg 1.17.9 ii libc6 2.18-6 ii libpam-runtime 1.1.8-3 ii libpam0g 1.1.8-3 ii libselinux1 2.3-1 ii lsb-base 4.1+Debian12 Versions of packages cron recommends: ii dma [mail-transport-agent] 0.9-1 Versions of packages cron suggests: ii anacron 2.3-20 pn checksecurity <none> ii logrotate 3.8.7-1 Versions of packages cron is related to: pn libnss-ldap <none> pn libnss-ldapd <none> pn libpam-ldap <none> pn libpam-mount <none> pn nis <none> pn nscd <none> -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
