Using Javascript seems the only way to create multiplatform HTML pages
because of some MS Windows and/or Lizardtech plug-in limitation (the
CGI-style keywords are ignored when the file is accessed locally).

Writing a proper Javascript can be tricky, as exemplified by the still
unsolved problem presented by me at the upstream forum:
