Note that the sys/sdt.h header really is independent from systemtap. When packages include sys/sdt.h they should get probes on any architecture. These probes can then be used by any program supporting SDT markers, like gdb, systemtap, perf, etc. It is just the package name that refers to systemtap, but it could as well have been called gdb-sdt-devel for example.
