I was confused by your initial bug report, thought that it
was related to the loading of ide modules, and was offering
a work around. If you feel that was off-topic, please ignore it.

Thanks, I wasn't aware that you had duplicated the bug,
nor that progress had been made.

If the kernel segfaults, its a kernel bug. 

Aurelien, could you elaborate a little on what the fix for
#335571 was, it seems that whatever kernel code that is tickling
wants fixing.
