I failed "reopening" the archived Debian bug #730450: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=730450 Which I tried because I am sure (hoping I did not miss anything) that it's the exact same problem that occurs to me for a version that the BTS version tree shows green. I had first written the below when there was only lightning 2.6.4) but somehow missed that the mail bounced because the bug was archived :( I just retried with a fresh icedove profile and lightning 2.6.5 and I got the same problem, when icedove restarts to activate lightning: [calBackendLoader] Using libical backend at /home/me/.icedove/2zjv6cxu.test/extensions/{e2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103}/components/libical.manifest icedove: relocation error: /home/me/.icedove/2zjv6cxu.test/extensions/{e2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103}/components/Linux_x86_64-gcc3/libcalbasecomps.so: symbol _ZN2js13CheckedUnwrapEP8JSObjectb, version xul24 not defined in file libxul.so with link time reference And this is what I got, after icedove restarts with lightning 2.6.4 freshly installed: icedove: relocation error: /home/me/.icedove/profile.mine/extensions/{e2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103}/components/Linux_x86_64-gcc3/libcalbasecomps.so: symbol _ZN2js13CheckedUnwrapEP8JSObjectb, version xul24 not defined in file libxul.so with link time reference And only when I remove the folder: /home/me/.icedove/profile.mine/extensions/{e2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103} icedove starts up again (without lightning). I also noticed that xulrunner-24.0 was not installed (automatically). So I manually installed as the referenced libxul.so comes from the xulrunner package, but no success either. Could this maybe be related to me using iceweasel from backports ?
