Hello Stefan, thanks for your bug report. I see that you test LANG=sv_SE.utf-8 with lowercase "utf", which reminds me of bug #725496 [1]. That other bug should however be fixed in current ruby-gettext, so it's probably not the same issue you are experiencing...
