Package: libpython2.7-dev Followup-For: Bug #749491 To the OP: are you sure you are running python2.7.7? Because I cannot reproduce the error in this version.
I stumbled upon this problem while using a virtualenv created with python 2.7.6 (even if the python on my system is 2.7.7).
