Package: base
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I'm experiencing this issue on 3/3 laptop systems on which jessie is installed,
including HP Pavilion dv7(?) and Lenovo T410.
On two systems, I upgraded from wheezy and on a third, I used the DVD. All are
running gnome.
A workaround is to choose Suspend from the top-right menu. Failure to do this
when not plugged in results in power loss.
(I am also experiencing #747947 with a failure to hibernate under any
circumstances which exacerbates the problem.)
System is set up to suspend after 30m in the Settings program.

Thanks,
John McFarlane
