I'd like to make sure that's indeed caused by a special configuration
of yours, and not by a bug in the profiles. And even if it was caused
by your configuration, assuming it's not *that* special (FWIW, merely
enabling plugins that are shipped in Debian doesn't count as special
in my eyes), the profiles should not break it.

So, may you please try and reproduce this bug after importing the
latest dovecot profiles [1] from upstream?

Testing this on testing/sid would be ideal. Failing that, testing on
Wheezy with wheezy-backports' dovecot 2.2.9-1~bpo70+1 would be great.
Failing that, testing with Wheezy's dovecot 2.1.7-7 would already be
very useful.
