Package: vistrails Version: 2.1.1-1 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer,
The vistrails appears to copy significant portions of its contents to multiple places. The places are: /usr/share/vistrails/contrib /usr/share/doc/vistrails/contrib /usr/share/doc/vistrails The files copied make up a significant portion of the package (about 1/3). Is it possible to replace some copies with symbolic links in order to reduce installation size and mirror usage? You can find details on what is being copied at: http://dedup.debian.net/compare/vistrails/vistrails The reasons for these copies is that some patterns are listed in multiple debhelper files. In particular the "contrib/*" (listed in vistrails.install and vistrails.docs) and "contrib" (listed vistrails.docs) patterns cause the above mentioned duplication. Please consider dropping some of these patterns and optionally replacing them with symbolic links to the remaining install location.
