https://bugs.launchpad.net/qpdfview/+bug/1328946 As far as the maintainer can tell, this seems to be a limitation of the Poppler PDF library. (Your djvu files might actually not have text embedded in them but only consist of images, in which case the search cannot be expected to work.) I have no idea why for at least one file the search works in epdfview but not qpdfview, because they both use the Poppler library and for the PDF file you sent me, even pdftotext seems to produce garbled output. Are you using epdfview on the same system as qpdfview? If you use it on another system, does the other system have another version of Poppler?
