Just a quick update: I've managed to reproduce this on a jessie/sid system. Basically it seems to be caused by a combination of libcurl3-gnutls linked against libgnutls-deb0-28. Installing libcurl3-gnutls <= 7.36.0-1 (not -2) or rebuilding curl 7.37.0-1 against GnuTLS 2.x makes luxid work as expected. If you can try any of these and confirm, it would be great! Unfortunately I have not managed to obtain a sane backtrace from luxid to pinpoint the exact cause of the crash. I'll do a little more research and reassign this bug to either curl, or gnutls.
